Essential oils are used for hair and skin care products and aromatherapy. Rose oils are so popular among essential oils that they are talked about on TV. Jojoba and apricot oils also arouse a lot of interests.

Alpha-linolenic acids are in the same category as EPA and DHA found in fish like horse mackerel. Modern people are said to lack EPA and DHA.

Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare had suggested that we should consume 4 times more omega-6 fatty acids like linoleic acids than omega n-3 fatty acids like alpha-linolenic acids (ALA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acids (EPA), but they recently showed that the intake of n-3 fatty acids should be increased.
